My experience as a psychotherapist has seen me working in different settings including charities and higher education as well as private practice. The diversity of my work has meant that I have supported clients from many different backgrounds and cultures.
Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in marketing, communications and training, experiencing firsthand the pressures of corporate life. This blend of corporate experience and psychotherapy training gives me a unique perspective in supporting clients.
I draw on different therapeutic modalities to work in a way which best suits your needs and presenting issues. This includes Gestalt therapy a humanistic psychotherapy focusing on an awareness of the present moment to help understand our responses, reactions and emotions. Psychodynamic therapy which delves into past experiences and unconscious motivations. And what is commonly known as third wave therapies which prioritise a holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing and can include concepts such as acceptance, mindfulness, compassion therapy, alignment of person values, spirituality and elements of Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT).
As well as my therapy practice, I'm a trained yoga teacher, which informs my understanding of the connection between mind and body and how they affect our wellbeing. I offer both traditional talking therapy sessions in my Leamington Spa practice or online, and walking therapy sessions in local parks for those who might benefit from being in nature while we talk.
Professional Memberships
My commitment to ongoing professional development means I regularly attend training and workshops to develop my knowledge and skills. I also engage in regular supervision to ensure I provide the highest standards of professional care for every client I work with.
If you'd like to explore working together, I offer a 20-minute consultation where we can discuss your needs and see if we might be a good fit.
